Songs in the Key of Life ; A contemporary look at the Psalms
This Spirituality day explores the link between contemporary song writers and the psalmists, both of whom express truths about life and our experiences of it.
The day considers how contemporary song writers, alongside the psalmist, can feed our spirituality and help us understand what it is to be human. The structure of the day is based around three songs, one by Bjork, one by Stevie Wonder and another by the Black Eyed Peas, presented alongside Psalms 1, 51 and 150. Spiritual exercises are offered to assist the attendees explore their response to each song and psalm.
