A 7 mile ramble through idyllic countryside between Little Wymondley, Great Wymondley and St Ippolyts, stopping for a Bible reading, brief history and short reflection at three ancient churches, and the remains of a priory, a Roman Villa and a Motte and Bailey Castle, owned by one the last 21 knights when Jerusalem fell in 1244.

The Walk begins and ends at Little Wymondley Church (SG4 7JE)
If you are travelling via the A1(M), leave at junction 8, taking the exit signposted Little Wymondley. Immediately after you pass under the railway bridge, take the first left along the railway line. (Do not take Church Road). Drive along the lane and find a place to park. Continue to walk until the road ends at the gates of Wymondley Bury. Enter through the side gate into the churchyard and visit St Mary the Virgin, Little Wymondley.
